Boards & Commissions

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is authorized by Section 5.2 of the Charter to establish, amend and abolish Advisory and Appeal Boards or Commissions as necessary.  All such Boards and Commissions operate in accordance with adopted rules of procedures and prescribed duties delegated by the City Council.

Board and Commission members must have been residents of the City for not less than one year at time of appointment unless otherwise provided for in Section 5 of the Charter.  All Board and Commission members serve without compensation

Board and Commission meetings are open to the public and copies of all records and minutes are available for inspection at City Hall.

PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD OPENING

 

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons who are interested in serving as members on the City's Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.  There are currently four positions that will expire in April 2014.  Interested applicants must be residents of the City of Woodland Park for at least one year and be available to meet on the second Wednesday evening of each month.  The term of office for these positions will expire in April 2016.

BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OPENINGS


   

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons who are interested in serving as an alternate member on the City's Board of Adjustment. One Alternate Member position is currently vacant. Interested applicants must be residents of the City of Woodland Park for at least one year and be available to meet in the evening on the third Monday of each month.   The term of office for one of these vacancies will expire on January 1, 2017.

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons who are interested in serving as a member on the City's Planning Commission. There is   currently one vacancy on this commission.   Interested applicants for this position must be a City resident for a minimum of one year prior to appointment and be available to meet on the second and fourth Thursday evenings of each month.   The term of office for these positions will expire on January 1, 2016.

UTILITIES ADVISORY COMMITTEE OPENING

 

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons who are interested in serving as an alternate member on the City's Advisory Committee. There is currently one vacancy on this Committee for an Alternate Member for a term expiring May 31, 2014. Interested applicants must be residents of Teller County and be available to meet on the second Tuesday afternoon of each month. Interested applicants must also be 18 years of age and possess qualifications that are compatible with the Committee's purpose and authority - as follows:

 

The Committee shall evaluate options and advise the City Council, the City Manager and the City's water and wastewater enterprises on policies and plans of action in the areas of water supply (including water rights, storage, and augmentation), treatment and distribution; wastewater collection and treatment; and other utility related projects and issues.

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons interested in serving as a member on the City's Keep Woodland Park Beautiful Committee. There are a total of eight positions open at this time. Three of those positions are for residents of Teller County and the remaining five positions are for City residents or property owners/leasers. All interested applicants must be available to meet on the first Monday evening of each month.
