Boards & Commissions

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is authorized by Section 5.2 of the Charter to establish, amend and abolish Advisory and Appeal Boards or Commissions as necessary.  All such Boards and Commissions operate in accordance with adopted rules of procedures and prescribed duties delegated by the City Council.

Board and Commission members must have been residents of the City for not less than one year at time of appointment unless otherwise provided for in Section 5 of the Charter.  All Board and Commission members serve without compensation

Board and Commission meetings are open to the public and copies of all records and minutes are available for inspection at City Hall.

Current Openings

SEEKING CANDIDATES FOR CITY COUNCIL VACANCY

Pursuant to Section 3.5 of the City of Woodland Park Home Rule Charter, public notice is hereby given that letters of interest with qualifications are being requested by the City Council of Woodland Park from City residents interested in filling a vacated Council seat for the remainder of a term ending April 2016 at which time the seat will be filled at the City's Regular Municipal Election.

 

Qualifications to serve as a City Councilmember are; applicant must be a citizen of the United States for not less than seven years; must be at least twenty-one years of age, and shall have been a resident of the City of Woodland Park not less than one year immediately preceding election or appointment. A person who has been convicted of a felony shall not be eligible to become a candidate for City office. 

 

Letters of interest citing qualifications and specific motivations for wanting to serve must be submitted to Woodland Park City Council, PO Box 9007, Woodland Park, CO 80866-9007, by email to the City Clerk sleclercq@city-woodlandpark.org or delivered to City Hall at 220 West South Avenue by noon on Friday March 13, 2015.  Applicants will be asked to interview with the City Council on Thursday March 19, 2015 at 7:00 P.M.  Questions may be addressed to the City's Clerk's Office at 687-5295.   

 

COMMUNITY INVESTMENT FUNDING REVIEW COMMITTEE OPENINGS

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons who are interested in serving as a member on the City's Community Investment Review Committee.  There are currently three openings on this committee; two for representative members of a requesting organization; and one for a Woodland Park citizen.  The citizen representative must be a resident of the Woodland Park region.  Applicants must be available for meetings when called, typically between November and December of each year.  The term for these positions will expire January 1, 2017.

CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE OPENING 

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons who are interested in serving as a member on the City's Charter Review Committee. Four terms on this Committee are open and they will expire on January 15, 2016.  Interested applicants for this position must be a City resident for a minimum of one year prior to appointment and be available to meet on a monthly basis.

Completed applications must be submitted to the City Clerk's Office not later than 5:00 P.M. BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT COMMITTEE OPENINGS

 

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons who are interested in serving as a member on the City's Board of Adjustment.  There is one regular term and two alternate terms on this Board that expire of January 1, 2015.  Interested applicants must meet the requirements for the opening; must be at least eighteen years old; and possess qualifications that are compatible with the Board's purpose and authority.  Applicants must be available to meet on the third Monday of each month.  The term of office for the regular term vacancy will expire on January 1, 2017; the two alternate terms will expire on January 1, 2018.

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons interested in serving as a member on the City's Keep Woodland Park Beautiful Committee. There are a total of three positions open at this time. All interested applicants must be available to meet on the first Monday evening of each month.
