PURPOSE
The primary purposes of  the Woodland Park Downtown Development Authority are to promote the  safety, prosperity, security, and general welfare of the District and its inhabitants, to prevent deterioration of property values or structures within the District, to improve the overall appearance, condition and function of the District, to encourage a variety ofuses, to sustain and improve the economic vitality of the District, to relieve traffic congestion, to encourage pedestrian traffic and security in the District, and to preserve and create green spaces, parks and pedestrian walkways.

VISION
To create a concentration of activity anchors (arts, culture, shops, restaurants, entertainment, services, jobs and residences) in Downtown Woodland Park that will create a sustainable economic base, and enhance Woodland Park’s economy and quality of life.

HISTORY
The Woodland Park Downtown Development Authority was created by ordinance in 2001 and adopted its Foundation Plan in February of 2002.
