This time classes will be for 10 weeks so we can create even MORE incredible are and very cool stuff. All lesson are age appropriate and will focus on a real art experience or enhancing particular skills. Group setting, individual instruction.WILD MOUNTAIN TOTS (3 -5 years old)Very primary color theory, basic shapes, simplest of mediums, etc...quick projects for short attention spans that love art but aren't ready for big projects. Storybooks may accompany projects for inspiration. Lots of fun unrestricted art time! Projects: Bubble Wrap Prints - super easy color theory intro to printmaking, fun project; Scribble Dabble - intro to negative space, free draw mania; Morning Pictures - intro to line design and interpretive art; Square Machine - focuses on shapes and imaginationWILD MOUNTAIN LITTLES (5 - 8 years old)A little more in depth, projects that can potentially take three class periods. We will cover at least three mediums such as pencil, pastels, charcoal, watercolor, collage, color theory, sculpture, etc. They will also put more thought into why and how we create art.Projects: When the Giant Came to Town - intro to perspective and art storytelling; Owl Reflections - intro to mirror images and mixed media; Scribble Dabble - intro to negative space; Monet-Sponge Art - intro to impressionism, Great Art Masters, Claude Monet freeform paintingWILD MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS (8 16 years old)This class will focus on developing and expanding artistic skill and aestheticism. Previously, on this level, we have learned facial proportions and depth, grid drawing, studies of art in other cultures, still life, watercolor theory and mixed media, to name a few. There will also be introduction to critique and most flexibility age wise, so if you ar 8-10 years old but love art, or 16 and want to try art but not the advanced class...this is the place for you.Projects: Emotion Commotion - focuses on line drawing and color theory relating to emotion; Paper Mache Mask/Animal Transformation - 3D sculpture combine self and animal; Owl Reflections - intro to mirror images and mixed media, secondary level; Two Layer Painting - continued exploration of mixed media ..tissue paper/foil/paint; Monet/Impressionism - acrylics, Great Art Masters/Claude MonetWILD MOUNTAIN MASTERS (13 -19 years old)Advanced art classes are for the artist that wants to be dedicated to honing a particular skill or applying themselves to seriously learn more art, as well, as well as those that would like to consider art as a possible career someday. Classes can focus entirely on an individual work or group projects. No need to be a master artist, but need to have the exceptional drive to learn and have some previous experience. Much more creative freedom and potential for initiative.
