COLORADO HUNTER EDUCATION
Planning on hunting in Colorado? Anyone born on or after January 1, 1949, must have a Hunter Education Certificate before he or she may hunt in Colorado. This course covers gun safety, hunting laws, ethics, wildlife management, survival, bow hunting, muzzle loading and more. Kids 10–14 years old must be accompanied by an adult, the adult will not be charged. Requirements for Certification: attend all sessions, pass written test, fire 12 rounds at the range and demonstrate shooting oppositions, gun carries and fence crossing.
This class is a home study/internet based class. All students must be enrolled and have received the study material no later than February 21, 2011.
Students will receive all study materials at registration. A test will be given first thing on Friday evening. Students must pass the test to continue the course. The remainder of the class will be hands on field skills experience with an emphasis on safety.
