COLORADO HUNTER'S EDUCATIONPlanning on hunting in Colorado? Anyone born on or after January 1, 1949, must have a Hunter Education Certificate before he or she may hunt in Colorado. This course covers gun safety, hunting laws, ethics, wildlife management, survival, bow hunting, muzzle loading and more. Kids 10-14 years old must be accompanied by an adult, the adult will not be charged. Requirements for Certification: attend all sessions, pass written test, fire 12 rounds at the range and demonstrate shooting oppositions, gun carries and fence crossing.
