SKILLS CHALLENGE

NFL PUNT, PASS & KICK

Boys and girls ages 8 – 15 (age as of December 31, 2010) test their football skills in punting, passing and place kicking in our local competition.  The winners in each age group from the local competition will advance to the sectional competition held in Pueblo.  Winners at sectionals will advance and have the opportunity to show their skills during half time of a Denver Bronco’s game.

DENVER NUGGETS BASKETBALL SKILLS CHALLENGE

HERSHEY'S TRACK AND FIELD

Hershey’s Track and Field youth program is designed to encourage physical fitness and emphasize participation and sportsmanship for youth 9-14 years old (age as of December 31, 2010).  The events include 50 meter dash, 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 1600 meter run, 4x100 meter relay, standing long jump and softball throw.  The top boy and girl in each age group in each event will advance to the State Competition in Denver.

Meet Day Registration for ages 13 - 14 3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Meet Start/End Time: 3:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Meet Start/End Time: 4:45 p.m. - Dusk

ROCKIES SKILLS CHALLENGE

Boys and girls age 6 – 13 years (age as of December 31, 2010) are encouraged to test their baseball skills in base running, hitting and throwing.  The top boy and girl in each age group will advance to the sectional competition held in Pueblo.  Winners at sectionals will advance and have the opportunity to advance to the State competition held at the Coca-Cola All Star Park in Lakewood.  They will also be invited to attend a Rockies game.
