Payments

Payments received by the Woodland Park Municipal Court include, but are not limited to, traffic citations, criminal summons and complaints, parking violations, warrant fees, jury fees, restitution and other court related fines and costs.

To Pay Your Summons Instead of Appearing

If your Summons is marked payable, you have the following options:

  1. MAIL: Send your payment in the full amount due along with your signed Summons (including a parent or guardian's signature if you are under 18) to the Woodland Park Municipal Court, P.O. Box 9007, Woodland Park, CO 80866, OR
  2. IN PERSON: Deliver your payment to the Woodland Park Municipal Court located in City Hall at 220 W. South Avenue, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00AM and 12 Noon or 1:00PM and 5:00PM, OR
  3. DROP BOX: Put your signed Summons in an envelope with your full payment and place in the drop box located to the far left of the main glass door entrance of City Hall, 220 W. South Avenue, OR
  4. CREDIT CARD: Call the Court at (719) 687-5207 and a Court Clerk will take your credit/debit card (Visa/Mastercard) via telephone. Once the transaction is approved, a receipt will be mailed to you.

IF PAYING INSTEAD OF APPEARING, PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE YOUR COURT DATE OR ADDITIONAL COSTS MAY BE IMPOSED AND A WARRANT MAY BE ISSUED FOR YOUR ARREST.

Consequences

By paying the fine instead of appearing in Court, you give up your legal rights and you plead Guilty to the offense(s) charged. Penalty points may be assessed against your driving record by DMV. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO PLEAD GUILTY, DO NOT PAY THE FINE AND APPEAR IN COURT AT THE DATE AND TIME LISTED ON THE FRONT OF YOUR SUMMONS. Court Costs of $20 will be applied to all payments made on or after the Court date. Failure to pay by the Court date or failure to appear in Court on the Court date will result in a Bench Warrant being issued for your arrest and you could be taken into custody at any time. An outstanding Warrant may impair your ability to obtain or renew a Colorado Driver's License, or may also result in revocation. If you have any questions at all about your Summons, please contact the Court via telephone at (719) 687-5207 or visit our website at www.city-woodlandpark.org.

If your ticket is marked "Teller County Court", then you must contact the Teller County Combined Court at (719) 687-2574 for payment instructions.
