Colorado Hunter Education

Planning on hunting in Colorado?  Anyone born on or after January 1, 1949, must have a Hunter Education Certificate before he or she may hunt in Colorado.  Kids 10-14 years old must be accompanied by an adult, the adult will not be charged.

Course Requirements:

1.     Complete one of the homework assignments.

2.     Attend all three dates (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

3.     Pass two written tests with a score of 80% or better.

4.     Write out 5 commandments on the final exam.

5.     Read the game brochures and be prepared to answer the Game Wardens questions.

There are two homework alternatives that you may choose from. It is imperative for you to do this homework. The first thing you will need to do in class is take a 25 question pre-test to insure you have done the homework before you may continue on to the completion of the course.

3 Internet Study Options (one free other two have a fee associated with the course):

Home Study Option:

Study the Colorado Hunter Education Manual. Complete all Hunters Reviews at the end of each chapter and fill in the student worksheets.

Classroom:  Saturday, August 18, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (1 hour lunch break)
Range Day: Sunday, August 19, 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Participant must be able to attend all 3 days
