Aaron Melvick, owner of AJ’s Pizzeria Restaurant purchased the former Pizza Hut property and intends to complete a beautiful redesign and remodel as shown. The existing building footprint is 1,737 SF. The remodel will add 506 SF for a total of 2,243 SF of floor area which will accommodate 50 occupants for indoor dining. The outdoor dining patio will accommodate 17 occupants with a stunning view of Pikes Peak.
Habitat for Humanity broke ground on nine new duplexes east of the Valley View Apartments. Trailhead Townhomes are using insulated concrete forms (ICF) in place of a stick-built approach. With the escalating cost of lumber, ICF has proven to be financially beneficial. The first duplex should be completed in three months and the second duplex will have its Certificate of Occupancy before the end of 2021.

Black Hills Energy
This will be an office building and laydown yard for the storage of equipment essential to the daily activities of Black Hills Energy. The project is located at the end of Tamarac Parkway on 3.72 acres (three lots) in the Heavy Service Commercial Light Industrial (HSC/LI) zone. Lots 1 and 2 will accommodate a 25-foot wide driveway (plus grading and drainage) from the cul-de-sac to Lot 3 within the platted 50’ wide ingress, egress, and utility easement. Lot 3 will contain a 4,000 SF, 22-foot high office building with an adjacent exterior 18,900 SF fenced laydown yard, and a 6-stall on-site parking lot.
