Construction Projects/ Road Work

Location: US 24 through Woodland Park 

Duration: Spring - Fall 2023

Impacts: Expect traffic impacts and use caution while daytime and overnight construction occurs.


The Colorado Department of Transportation along with contractor Kiewit, will begin installing ADA (American’s with Disabilities Act) curb ramps in Woodland Park and resurfacing along US 24 from Divide to Chipita Park early in April. The anticipated completion date of the project is November 2023. 

Construction will begin with the installation of the ADA curb ramps and installation of guardrail along US 24. Later in the summer resurfacing of US 24 will occur. Information for this project will be posted as the project start date draws nearer. Other improvements will include the construction of embankment protectors, replacement of 2 traffic counter sensor arrays and signing/striping the project corridor.

Work Schedule & Traffic Impacts:

  • ADA curb ramp work will occur overnight, Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. To 7 a.m.

  • Daytime work will occur Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and includes installation of guardrail and additional work west of Woodland Park.

  • Resurfacing operations will begin later in the summer - additonal information will be made available prior to that project beginning.
