Chris Deisler was selected as the Chief of Police for the City of Woodland Park Police Department after serving 30 years with the City of Winter Springs Police Department in Central Florida. He served as Chief of Police from 2019 until 2022 when he joined our team after deciding to retire from service and move to the mountains with his family. He started his career at the age of 19 as a second-generation police officer and still loves being able to serve as much today as he did then. Chief Deisler is committed to working alongside the community to forge new ways to enhance safety, transparency within the organization, and common partnerships to make Woodland Park the best it can be. He is looking forward to working with the members of the department to develop short and long range plans and shape the future of the police department with them. Chief Deisler holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Administration and is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute's Command Officer's Development Course. He lives in Woodland Park with his family and looks forward to building relationships with the residents, business owners, and visitors to the city.
